Inception” actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt has married his girlfriend in a private ceremony at their home on December 20.Gordon-Levitt, 33, confirmed to People that he had put a wedding ring on the finger of Tasha McCauley, who is the co-founder and CEO of robotics company Fellow Robots.
The pair are rarely photographed together. Gordon-Levitt explained back in 2013 that McCauley preferred to stay out of the spotlight.
“I have a girlfriend but I tend not to really like to talk about it in public,” he said. “I get up in movies and I play other people, so when the audience is watching me in movies, I don’t want them thinking about me and who I’m dating, and blah blah blah.”
“I want them to see the character, the story that I’m telling, you know,” he said. “The girl that I’m with, she really doesn’t want to be a part of it and you can imagine not wanting to have that kind of scrutiny.”
Gordon-Levitt said he met McCauley through “mutual friends” but it is unclear how long they have been dating for. They live together in Los Angeles.
